Arts Certification Program

Earl of March Secondary School offers an extensive arts program. Students who concentrate in the arts areas are eligible for recognition through the school’s “Arts Certification Program”.

Students may apply for the following certification:
Visual Art Certificate Honours Arts Certificate (Visual Art Major)
Music Certificate Honours Arts Certificate (Music Major)
Arts Certificate (Dance Major) Honours Arts Certificate (Dance Major)
Arts Certificate (Drama Major) Honours Arts Certificate (Drama Major)
Comprehensive Arts Certificate Honours Comprehensive Arts Certificate (No Major)
  • All certificates require the completion of six courses, except music which requires seven courses.
  • All certificates with honours require the completion of 8 courses.
  • A course may be accredited to one certificate only. Each course will be counted only once.
  • All course offerings are subject to sufficient enrolment.

* Please note that AMR10 and AMR20 are only accredited as half courses, and both must be completed to obtain a whole credit.
** Media Studies and Writer’s Craft may only be used for the Comprehensive Arts Certificate, or the Honours Comprehensive Arts Certificate.
