This fun and upbeat musical tells the story of Ren McCormack who has moved from Chicago to Beaumont, a small town under the spiritual watch of the powerful Reverand Moore. Ren soon discovers that, because of a car accident 5 years earlier that claimed the lives of 4 Beaumont teens, Reverend Moore has banned all forms of dancing in Beaumont. Ren’s conflict with the Reverend is exacerbated by Ren’s blossoming relationship with Moore’s daughter, Ariel. In the tradition of feel good musicals, the teens of Beaumont end up putting aside their differences and band together to challenge the no dancing by-law.
