Important Commands

Line Break

Normally on a computer, to switch lines, you just press ENTER.
On the wiki, if you want a LINE BREAK, type br at the end of your sentence.
Make sure a < comes before br and a > comes after it -- no spaces.
Your next sentence will start on the line below.
If you want another line break (say, for double-spacing) repeat the above process.
Repeat this process over and over to create multiple line breaks.

Uploading Microsoft Word Files

1) Select "Upload file" on the left under Toolbox.
2) Press Browse... and select the file you want to upload.
3) Click Open to attach your file and Upload File to place it on the wiki.
4) Go to the page you would like the file to appear on.
5) In your toolbar, select the File link button (looks like a trumpet) to create an Internal Link to the file .
6) The following appears: Media:Example.ogg -- the link will be framed with two sets of square brackets
7) Replace the Example.ogg with the name of your file = e.g. Testing.doc
8) GIVE IT A NAME: Media: Testing.doc|Insert Name -- the link will be framed with two sets of square brackets
9) Save your work.

Your students will now be able to download and view this document!

This helps with missed assignments, easier access for students, and less photocopying for teachers.
